These answers describe the current application. They are not competitor copy and they do not invent production-day guarantees.
What is the difference between Get a Quote and Order Direct?
Get a Quote is for consultation, custom pricing, or non-standard work. You submit artwork and specifications; P4 Patches reviews the request and issues a price. Order Direct is for standard configurations. A server-side pricing engine returns an estimate, then you can add the item to a cart. Quotes and orders stay separate records.
Do I need an account to request a quote?
No. Guests can submit a quote. You receive a private link by email. An account is required later if you check out through the cart.
When is an account required?
Checkout, order history, and saved addresses require a verified account. Quote submission does not.
How are Order Direct prices calculated?
The browser never sets the price. Laravel calculates an estimate from the active pricing version: area, quantity tier, option surcharges, and rush when selected. Totals are recalculated again when you add to cart and at checkout. Starter rates in a local install are for testing and must be replaced before launch.
Will the price change after I submit artwork?
It can. Order Direct estimates assume the configuration you entered. Artwork review, production constraints, or shipping can change the amount due. Issued quotes use the admin-set total until they expire or are accepted.
What artwork file types can I upload?
JPG, PNG, PDF, SVG, AI, and EPS, within the size limit shown on the form. Artwork is stored on a private disk and is not listed on a public URL.
How do I open a quote I submitted as a guest?
Use the secure link in the confirmation email. Keep that link private. If you later register with the same email, the quote can attach to the account.
Can a quote become an order?
After a quote is issued, you can accept it. Acceptance adds the quoted total to the cart as a locked price and does not re-run the Order Direct engine. Paying that cart creates an order linked to the quote.
Do you ship outside the United States?
The current checkout form accepts US addresses only. International shipping is not offered in this checkout flow. Use the contact form if you need to ask about a destination that is not listed.
How is shipping calculated?
Shipping is not calculated on the site yet. Checkout records a shipping address. Any shipping charge is added later during fulfillment and is not invented as a live rate here.
What is the minimum quantity?
Each material has a minimum order quantity for Order Direct. The quote form can accept other quantities because staff price those requests. “Not sure” material is quote-only.
Is there a rush option?
Order Direct includes a rush surcharge in the estimate when you select it. Quotes can mark urgency for staff review. Neither option is a published production-day guarantee.
Do you publish customer reviews or a public price list?
This site does not invent testimonials, star ratings, or an official public price list. Order Direct shows a server estimate for the configuration you enter. Quotes are priced after review.
How do I contact P4 Patches?
Use the contact form. Quote and order questions can also be sent from the private quote thread or your account order page when you already have a request on file.
